Qualities of Effective Leadership
In today’s world of business, it is imperative for organisations to have leaders who are effective and aware of the environment around them. Effective leaders identify the gaps that exist in the organisation; they are result oriented and focus on different aspects that only lead them to give results. Part of their effectiveness is visible with how they address organisational issues. Most business collapse due to lack of effective leadership of the organisation. The lack of leaders in the organisation to mentor and influence other individuals to a certain direction makes it hard to achieve those goals hence such a collapse. In this research paper, we will focus on those qualities that effective leaders should posses, as they will institute a sense of leadership and a direction for the whole organisation to pursue. The outline will also give special focus to existing case of two individuals who institute leadership in the organisation they have lead.
According to Ciulla (13), effective leadership refers to a social influence of individuals where an individual influences other individuals who are the same capacity to respond to a certain call they have made. It involves creating a plan and influencing other individuals to vouch for your plan willingly. Leadership by itself is a unique aspect that possesses the aspects of management. While a manager may only be an overseer, leaders tasks spans further to understanding all the issues that arise in an organisation. For example, in an organisation a leader gets concerned of the health of other employees, this may not be the concern of the manager who only anticipates results. Much of a leader’s task is to find a balance on all issues available to make their goals achievable.

Effective leaders recreate, restart, motivate, communicate, and instil a sense of direction to an organisation. The two most celebrated leaders in the world of business for highlighting the true meaning of the world leader are Steve Jobs and Jeff Bezos. Steve Jobs is famed for having created a company and later on left due to power wrangles. He began from scratch and recreated another company that became too successful only for the previous company to request him to return. Steve Jobs just like any other leaders who are skilful displayed the aspect of commitment to the industry. He was willing to quit the company for the respect of bigger issues at hand, which were to transform the technology world.
