Introduction Otitis Media is a disease that is also known as the “Inflammation of the Middle Ear”, it’s an infection that affects the area that is between the Tympanic Membrane and the inner ear, once one contracts this disease the patient experiences severe pain that lasts between a period of 2-4 weeks and heels on its own. If the disease is left unattended to the patient will develop complications later on, (Block, 1997) this is because the tympanic membrane is inflamed and has blisters, it eventually raptures allowing pus to flow from the middle ear and drain to the other ear canal. The Otitis Media disease is caused by the infection of the inner parts of the ear were pathogens such as fungus, bacteria or virus get into the ear infecting the inner parts of the ear, and causing the disease.
