The Impact of the Large Spanish Population in South Florida

According to Martin, Philip & Midgley, the United States of America, receives a huge number of foreigners every day. Most of these immigrants are unauthorized foreigners who get into the country illegally through the borders. Recently, Americans have been ambivalent on welcoming immigrants into their country (3). There has been a deep concern on the effects of immigrants which has led to the implementation of some policies geared towards controlling immigration (3). The Hispanics constitute a large portion of America’s population and it is projected that their number will grow in coming years (Bogue et al. 30). This paper seeks to explore the impact of the large Spanish population in South Florida, America. According to a survey done by Kerr, Pekkala, and W. Kerr, the influx of immigrants in a region has economic, social and political implications (1). In my opinion, the positive effects of migration overweigh the negative effects. The large Spanish population in South Florida has led to the significant increase in population in the region. The Increased population in the area has further led to increased supply of labour. Thus, helping counter the problem of labour shortages in certain sectors of the economy. Furthermore, migration....
